Medical Yoga Teacher Training (350 hours)

Chronic pain, stress and lack of exercise are some of the biggest health challenges of our time. Yoga can be much more than just a form of exercise or relaxation: if understood and applied correctly, it is an evidence-based tool for promoting health and quality of life. This is exactly where our Medical Yoga Teacher Training (350 hours) comes in.

Florian Hockenholz, physiotherapist, osteopath and yoga teacher with over 25 years of experience, teaches a concept in this advanced training course that combines medical expertise, functional training and classic yoga practice.

This is what sets the training apart:

  • Scientifically sound
All content is based on the latest findings from movement research. You will not only learn how to perform yoga exercises correctly, but also how to use them specifically in prevention, therapy and classic yoga classes in the yoga studio.

  • Tradition & modernity combined
Florian is committed to the original Hatha Yoga and the classical teaching method. This foundation gives the training depth and authenticity. At the same time, modern didactic and pedagogical concepts are used to enable structured, practical and sustainable learning.

  • Comprehensive content
Anatomy, functional movement analysis, asanas, breathing techniques and mindfulness-based methods are combined with strategies of body and movement physiology, as well as neuro-physiology and psychology. This creates a holistic understanding of yoga as a physical and health practice.

  • Practically relevant
Whether for teaching in a traditional yoga studio, working in physiotherapy, occupational therapy or in preventive health care - the training provides immediately applicable tools for everyday life in the yoga studio, in the practice and clinic with patientsand clients.

  • Reflective attitude
The training encourages people to think critically, classify methods and combine their own experience with scientific evidence - without dogma, but with clarity, attitude and humor.

Who is this course suitable for?
For physiotherapists, occupational therapists, yoga teachers and medically interested laypeople who are looking for a well-founded and practice-oriented course to use yoga as an effective tool in prevention, pain therapy and health promotion.

Conclusion:
With the 350-hour Medical Yoga Teacher Training by Florian Hockenholz in Switzerland, you will acquire training that combines tradition with modern science. You will learn how to use yoga specifically for prevention, rehabilitation and strengthening the body and mind - professionally, reflectively and in a way that is suitable for everyday use.

Structure of the training

Training structure - combination of face-to-face and online learning

The Medical Yoga Teacher Training (350 hours) combines intensive face-to-face learning with an in-depth online course.

  • 3 attendance modules of 5 days each
The practical training weeks take place at inspiring locations - in Switzerland, Tenerife, Germany, Bali or other selected seminar locations. The focus here is on practice, personal guidance and in-depth experience.

  • 200 hours of online training
At the same time, participants complete a structured online program with a total of 200 hours. This part is designed to be independent of time and location so that it can be flexibly integrated into participants' everyday lives.

  • Start & procedure
The online course should be started at least four weeks before the first classroom module in order to create a solid foundation for the practical weeks on site.

  • Examination & graduation
To successfully complete the course, all three face-to-face modules and the 200-hour online course must each be passed with an examination. This ensures that all participants are confident and competent in both theory and practice.

Conclusion:
The combination of flexible online preparation and intensive face-to-face practice creates a training program that is both scientifically sound and practical - ideal for therapists, yoga teachers and medically interested laypeople who want to apply yoga in a professional, reflective and evidence-based way.
